Little White Pig
Little White Pig is a new gastro pub in Dublin Street, Edinburgh. They serve excellent food in a comfortable and unpretentious setting. Downstairs there is a small events venue available for private functions and corporate events.
We needed a selection of interior photos to show their venue on their new website and social media. After discussing their concept for the business it was clear they have a strong vision for how their brand should look. Upstairs is light and comfortable, welcoming a wide demographic. Downstairs is atmospheric and intimate, a hidden party space for small events.
Shooting and editing the photos was an interesting challenge. The two floors need to look similar enough to show this is the same space, but different enough to portray their separate purposes. For example it was important to show the coloured neon lighting downstairs, so we reflected this with a slight colour cast from the lamps upstairs. We also included a consistent selection of angled and single point perspectives.
Showing the layout of a space is essential, but closer design details help convey atmosphere too. Since the owners have designed and decorated the venue themselves they had some very helpful ideas for specific detail shots. Photos showing lights reflected in artwork and candles on the stairs were based on their suggestions.
Being dog friendly is always an important factor in any hospitality marketing plan. Therefore we took a portrait of Blizzard, the resident dog, relaxing in the comfiest chair.
As a private hire venue the downstairs area can be decorated to suit whatever event you are planning. When we shot the photos the back rooms were decorated in a rainforest theme, which was a perfect opportunity to showcase the space styled for a big corporate client.
I always enjoy working with hospitality companies. If you are looking for interior photography for your business I’d be happy to help – please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
